In Bali almost every hotel, no matter how many stars it may have, has its own spa. Before your book your hotel for your next Bali holiday, check here to see what spa facilities they have to offer, and what other alternatives there are in the immediate area.

The Spas of Bali offer many different massages [Balinese, Indonesian, Thai, Swedish, Shiatsu from Japan and Lomi-Lomi from Hawaii], body wraps, polishes and scrubs [including the Royal Javanese Lulur and the Balinese Boreh], Chinese Reflexology and many Ayurvedic styles of treatment. Advanced spas offer Colon Hydrotherapy and personal treatments such as Vaginal Smoking. In the Ubud area some spas offer Craniosacral Therapy and other Healing treatments.

Double rooms are often provided for couples who wish to share the experience and the Four Hand Massage is very popular in Bali [two therapists, male or female, perform a full body massage in perfect synchronisation].

Extra Services are sometimes available in the smaller spas and Kerobokan boasts Bali’s first Gay Friendly spa [M Spa], although others also now exist, mainly in the Kerobokan, JImbaran and Ubud areas.

Temple Festival and Ceremony

This Temple Festival are held throughout the year. Certain days are designated for special prayers. In Bali There are thousands of temples, every week we can found the temple festival and ceremony. The Balinese are happy to offer an offering, which are a sort of tax paid to the Gods on many different occasions; the giving imposes on the gods certain obligations to perform. These offerings may consist of pyramids of fruits, Balinese cakes, rice, flowers, money, roast chickens, and intricate contractions of cut out palm leaf. There are many main Events in Bali such as :

1. Galungan Holidays

Galungan Holidays comes every 210 days, according Balinese Calender regularly take place on wuku Dungulan on Buda kliwon. Galungan Holiday is like Christmas but without the tawdry commercialism. Galungan Holidays, the day commemorated as the victory of Darma ( Virtue ) againsts”Adharma”( Evil ) according to the history of ancient Bali. On this day, the entire island is brightened with festival and celebration, while ” Penjor”, the artiscally-decorated Bamboo pole is stuck at every house entrance, adorning the both side of the village-roads symbolizing welfare and properity.

2. Kuningan Holidays

THE SHIELD AND “KUNINGAN ( YELLOW ) DAYKuningan Festival that is celebrated traditionally would not be complete without using the symbolic of shield, that must be integrated as a means which with protecting ourselves from all of our enemy’s attacks. Who should be protected? It can be our ancestors who are enjoying “Suguhan Tumpeng( cone offering ) so that they are safe in their return journey to the heaven. It can be for ourselves in order to be safe from the enemy’s attack. We have just defeated evil process ( adharma ) and now celebrating the victory of Dharma ( goodness) on Galungan day. After 10 days have been busy celebrating the victory, now we need to protect ourselves still more strongly. The shield should be with us ready to use. To venerate the ancestors means inheritance, preserving their inheritance he takes a lot of form. There are many things about inheritance such as : heirloom, sword which is directly hand down to the generation for example: Keris, temple, holy books, custom, religion. We often forget how take care of which finally result miss fortune, such as : the sale of land to NON Balinese people. Here is the weakness of Balinese people while can not purify the shield. In addition, the protection over the collective inheritance is also weak. For instance the Sakenan Temple traditional environment has been seriously damage since the unity of Serangan island with mainland Bali. This Tour Included:
