Article by Harry Jupe

The Costa Blanca is now a major tourist destination, not only for Spaniards and Europeans but for all people from around the globe. It is a city that is often targeted by people who just want to have fun. Holidays to Benidorm are experiences that any tourist will never forget. In fact this is the reason for its rising tourism industry – anyone who has visited this city keeps coming back. Look into the possibility of getting Cheap Benidorm Car Hire to make your stay here even more special.

Once you have arrived in the city, there are many different things that you should try and visit. Four places are recommended – Levante, Poniente, Old Town and Ricon de Loix.

Playa Levante

If you want to be in the busiest part of Benidorm, go to the Levante area which has plenty of busy beaches, hotels and theme parks. This is the place where most hotels were erected and this is also the venue for a different kind of nightlife, what with the bars and the hotels converting into live entertainment centres. All of the hotels have different star ratings and of course, different costs – from two stars to five stars. There are cheaper inns and apartments that are also available in the area. The numerous high rise hotels form the skyscrapers that have become a part of the landscape.

Playa Levante is a favourite popular beach – one of Europe’s best. This leads to Ricon de Loix and it comprises of two kilometres of golden sand. This beach is frequented by tourists who want to relax on the beach and those who want to take part in different water sports events. This is one very safe beach since lifeguards never fail to patrol the area. Here in Levante, one will have a chance to visit two theme parks. The Aqualandia is one of these fun parks which have a dolphinarium as well as a bat cave. The other park, Mundomar, offers water activities from its giant water slides.

The Playa Poniente

This is where you will find the Poniente Beach, with its golden sand. Every amenity in Levanate is also here – the bars, hotels, restaurants and shops – but this is a quieter place. Along the beach is a promenade and the traffic here is very slow moving because it is one-way. This is also where you will find the very tall and expensive Bali Hotel with its 52 floors of guest rooms. The coastline stretches until an even quieter place – La Cala is reached.

A Visit to the Old Town

This place gives the tourist a taste of authentic culture of Spain. What one sees here are the maze of cobbled streets, along with the blue domed church and white houses. The accommodations here have easy access to the different beaches – Levante, Poniente and Malpas. For children and lovers of sea animals, the Benidorm Aquarium offers lots of fun. Time your visit to this part of the city to coincide with one of the 50 fiestas celebrated here to experience another uniqueness of Spain.

Ricon de Loix

Modern Spain – this is what Ricon de Loix is. It is a big contrast to the Old Town. What it offers the tourists are its lively indoor market. There are 2 British supermarkets, and other shops are in plentiful supply. This is the place where the tourist will find the Benidorm Palace which offers some fantastic entertainment. This is also a place in the city that is full of activities and entertainment – with its numerous bars, hotels and restaurants.

There are 4 different places, each with its own characteristics, worth exploring for your holidays to Benidorm. A comparison of Levante and Poniente areas, Old Town and Ricon de Loix can be made. You should not miss the Levante, Poniente and Malpas beaches. Don’t forget to book your Car Hire in Benidorm early for the best deals available.
