The airport is within a 20-40 minute drive, the challenging surf beaches in Canggu, the picturesque temple site of Tanah Lot and the acclaimed Nirwana golf course. Ubud can be reached within 50 minutes. Villa Santai encompasses 2 garden pavilions each with their own spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The main villa building contains an open plan living space, equipped kitchen with large fridge, dining area and TV room with LCD TV screen. In addition, a DVD player is available to play your favourite movie or music while you relax… The third en-suite bedroom and extra room are situated on both sides of the main building. The gazebo/day bed is located in the corner of the garden providing necessary shade when dozing of or reading a book whilst enjoying the peace and quiet. Our first full day in Bali and it was time to hit Kuta Beach…. First stop was a phone shop so we could at least be contacted or make calls… We walked along Kuta beach… Then into the shops before meeting up with Nathan Corbett and Korina and hitching rides on bikes into the heart of Kuta…. A great day from start to finish with plenty of sights and sounds 🙂

Indonesia is the biggest archipelago in the world with over 15, 000 islands made by volcanoes. It seems there are world class disasters here every year. It’s hard to classify that many islands and cultures as one country, that’s why there have been so many dictators in Indonesia’s history, unity through the old iron fist. They recently lost East Timor to independence and are likely to lose more as they stride towards democratization. Indonesia is mostly Muslim, the largest Muslim nation in the world and has the 4th largest population in the world. However, the people of Bali aren’t Muslim. They are a distinctly different culture than the people of Java, Indonesia’s second largest island and most populated. Java has Jakarta, dubbed the “Big Durian” and most of the country’s history. Sumatra is the biggest island, but the most devastated by the Boxing Day Tsunami that usually gets associated with Thailand. Indonesia lost over 220000 lives, Thailand around 5395 with another 2000 missing, but some were of European decent so the media deemed them worthy and thus Thailand …
Today on our Bali Adventure we take you to Uluwatu, to see the naughty monkeys, the beautiful Padang Padang beach, and finish the day eating garlic prawns fresh cooked right on the beach at Jimbaran, just south of Kuta. This is defiantly my favorite vlog so far.

Kicking off the New Year in Bali…. Nice… Crazy story in how it all came about… First night was an adventure in every sense of the word…. From meeting the locals… Getting lost trying to find where we were staying… To driving around the island for 4 hours trying to find a hotel room…. Everything was full… Lucky for us we ended up getting to sleep around 5am…. Happy New Year to all 🙂
