Bali Blinds
Article by Mike C
Spring Window Fashions, the parent company of the Bali brand, has been a leader in the window treatments industry for over 70 years. Their collection of Bali blinds includes wood blinds, faux wood blinds, mini blinds, vertical blinds, and panel track blinds. These different types of blinds all match with a particular style of home decor. Here are my personal opinions of the styles of home decor that these Bali blinds can most often be found.
Bali wood blinds are well suited for traditional homes with wood flooring and furniture accented by antique rugs and paintings. Obviously, this isn’t the only decor that wood blinds will pair well with but it is very common to see them in these types of homes. Those who purchase wood blinds are not usually as concerned with price or function as they are style and authenticity. These consumers want the real look and feel of wood regardless of price or lack of durability.
Bali faux wood blinds look great in a modern home that portrays a natural, earthy theme. This home will typically have an earth tone color scheme with furniture and decor items that incorporate woven reeds, grasses, and bamboo. The consumers who buy these blinds are price-conscious and want a longer lasting, more durable product that will not warp or crack under harsh conditions. They are not concerned with the authenticity of the wood and will settle for the similar appearance.
Bali mini blinds are for the home that does not have a decor theme. This type of home is mainly filled with practical, functional decor that is child and pet friendly. These consumers need solid window blinds that are affordable and made from durable materials. Style is not very important to them even though they can still pick their color and slat size.
Bali vertical blinds can generally be found in large apartment building complexes. The owners are simply looking for something inexpensive to cover the windows. Vertical blinds are simple to install, clean, and replace if necessary. The owners do not live in these apartments so they are not concerned with customization or the tenants style preferences; they just know they are required to install some form of window coverings. It is up to the tenant to change these blinds.
Bali panel track blinds can generally be found in studios or large lofts that require room dividers. A panel track serves as a great room divider to provide privacy in large, open rooms that encompass both the common area and sleeping area. These fabric dividers can add elegance to a downtown loft or a quaint little studio. This is clearly an inexpensive, stylish alternative to actually having a wall built.
Overall, these are just generalizations but they can be helpful if your living situation falls into one of these categories and you are unsure of which blinds to choose. All Bali blinds and Bali shades are great products but you must consider your needs and wants in order to choose the right type. Even if you choose the most expensive, deluxe set of blinds they offer you will not be satisfied if they don’t match your decor and functional needs.
